Man dies from stab wound; Lincoln Police investigating as homicide
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 59-year-old man is dead after being stabbed in the chest Sunday night, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
LPD says officers responded to a report of a stabbing near 62nd Street and Baldwin Avenue around 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers say when they arrived on the scene, they found a victim with a stab wound to his chest.
Officers performed life-saving measures on the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The man later died from his injuries.

Police say there is a 40-year-old man in custody in connection to the stabbing. There are no other suspects at this time, and LPD says there is no current threat to the public.
“Our thoughts go out to all those who have been affected by this tragedy,” LPD said in a statement late Sunday.
