LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The holidays can add stress to many who might have some extra pressures during the holidays.

Christina Hitz with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department and Tammy Stevenson, the executive director of the Bridge Behavioral Health, joined Channel 8 at midday to talk about ways to help prevent substance abuse.

Here are some resources they had to offer:

  • If you are a friend, family member or supporter of someone with a substance use disorder know that you are not alone.  There are resources available in our community to support both you and your loved one.

  • For supporters, friends and family carry naloxone, there is free Naloxone available at multiple locations in Lincoln and Lancaster County, go to lincon.ne.gov/OD for more information.
