More than 85 COVID cases, 23 hospitalizations reported

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) reports 86 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the community total to 29,995.

The community death total remains at 228.

More than 26,800 people have recovered from the virus and more than 193,150 vaccines have been administered.

Currently, 23 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19 (19 are Lancaster County residents). One patient is on a ventilator.

Four mass vaccination clinics are scheduled for this week, they are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – first doses for residents age 50 and older
  • Thursday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – second doses for residents age 63 and older, educators, and childcare providers
  • Friday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – second doses for residents age 63 and older, educators, and childcare providers
  • Saturday, Pinnacle Bank Arena – first dose clinic for manufacturing and food service workers
