LINCOLN – Players from the Pinnacle Bank Legion baseball team have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement from Lincoln Public Schools.

The team consists mostly of athletes and coaches from Lincoln Southwest High School.

In a letter sent out to LSW families, LPS states that the Lincoln Lancaster County Health has asked the team to remain in quarantine. None of those players that tested positive have attended any weight lifting or conditioning practices at Lincoln Southwest so no changes will be made to the current protocols at the high school.

Pinnacle Bank was scheduled to open the season on Thursday against Omaha Burke.

Full statement from LPS:
