Nebraska homecoming weekend festivities

There are plenty of traditions for fans to take part of this weekend.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It’s homecoming week for the Huskers, and before Nebraska takes takes on Northwestern tomorrow night, there are plenty of homecoming traditions to enjoy.

Community members are invited to the homecoming parade at 6:00 p.m. tonight, stretching down Vine Street to the East side of Memorial Stadium.

Right after the parade, Nebraska is hosting its “Cornstock” festival, featuring food trucks, a balloon artist, live performances and even a Ferris wheel.

Before the game on Saturday, make your way to East Campus to tailgate. Fans can start four hours before kick off. There is also free parking and a shuttle to and from Memorial Stadium.

When you get to campus,  check out the homecoming lawn displays. Fraternities and sororities decorated their lawns to fit the theme “The Good Life” and the displays will be up throughout the weekend.

Kick off for the game is at 6:00 p.m., so plenty of time beforehand to soak in the homecoming atmosphere.
