Following the 5 inning shutout for the huskers, their senior day ceremony was held honoring all 12 players.
But, Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen had a special surprise at the end for head coach Rhonda Revelle. Dannen unveiled a new name for Bowlin Stadium, naming the field after Revelle.
From now on, it will be called Rhonda Revelle field. The head coach said she was at a loss for words with the announcement.
“I don’t know that it’s really hit me yet, no words can really do it justice,” said Revelle.
Nebraska has now won 15 straight, and will head to Penn State for their final regular season series.
The matchup vs. the Nittany Lions is set to begin Friday, at 4 p.m.
