LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball will open up a five-game homestand against Wisconsin on Wednesday.

The Huskers just ended a four-game road trip with a big win over No. 20 Maryland on Sunday, defeating the Terps 90-67.

“We’re very, very excited to be coming back to Pinnacle Bank Arena and being kind of in the friendly confines with our home crowd,” head coach Amy Williams said Tuesday.

Despite the Huskers returning home, Williams said the conference isn’t going to get any easier.

“We’ve got a very challenging conference opponent coming in here tomorrow, and it’s just going to be a grind, every single night out,” she said.

Wisconsin has had a rough start to its season, losing seven of its 10 games to teams like Illinois State, VCU and Seton Hall.

The Badgers also dropped their first Big Ten game against No. 10 Iowa on Sunday.

Nebraska has won the last five games against Wisconsin, beating the Badgers twice last season.

Nebraska’s game against Wisconsin will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
