LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska’s track and field team is still unable to practice due to a COVID-19 outbreak, athletic director Bill Moos confirmed on his monthly radio show on Tuesday.

Moos said several student-athletes, both male and female, had tested positive for the virus. The team shut down practice last week and they continue to do so, according to Moos.

“Until it can get under control,” Moos said.

Moos also said the track and field team makes up about 25 percent of the student-athletes on Nebraska’s campus.
