LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Omaha inmate rolled the dice when he fled to Las Vegas, but his luck ran out, officials said Thursday.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Troy Hollins, 25, removed his electronic monitor near the Community Corrections Center-Omaha in January.

Nearly five months later, on April 27, Hollins was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.  He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center.

Hollins was serving a sentence of up to 20 years for attempted robbery in Douglas County.  He had a parole hearing set for June.
