Omaha Police investigate shooting that wounded man in Benson

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting on Sunday afternoon.
The Omaha Police Department says officers were called to the area of 60th and Corby Streets around 3:14 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
Spent shell casings were found at the scene, police say.
Ten minutes later, Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus called police about a shooting victim who showed up at the hospital.
Police think the victim, 21-year-old Prophet Muhammad, was shot at the scene in the Benson neighborhood.

Muhammad is expected to survive his injuries, police say.
