One more warm day before cold front passes

Hope you are enjoying the warm weather we’ve been experiencing in southeast Nebraska.  Temperatures Monday were running around 20° above normal.  It felt more like early October than mid-November.  The area will experience much of the same Tuesday, if not a degree or two warmer.

It starts Monday night/Tuesday morning as temperatures will not drop anywhere near “normal” levels.  The normal low temperature in Lincoln is 28°.  Low temperatures should be in the lower to middle 40°s.

Expect to see partly to mostly cloudy skies through the day.  Temperatures will quickly rise through the 50°s and 60°s by noon.  Highs should be in the middle to upper 70°s.

A cold front will begin to pass through the region Tuesday evening.  As the front passes, winds will shift from the southwest to the northwest.  There may be stronger wind gusts (30-35 mph) along and behind the front.  Cooler air will begin to move in to southeast Nebraska and temperatures will likely be 25° to nearly 30° cooler Wednesday afternoon.
