Pinnacle Bank used a five-run fourth inning to knock off Union Bank, 8-3, to claim the Lincoln city legion baseball tournament championship.

LINCOLN – Pinnacle Bank used a five-run fourth inning to knock off Union Bank, 8-3, to claim the Lincoln city legion baseball tournament championship. Dylan Cox threw all seven innings, allowing three runs off five hits while striking out seven batters.

Pinnacle Bank, which is made up of players made up from Lincoln Southwest High School, began the year in a 14-day quarantine after two players tested positive for COVID-19.

JC Brager, a team made up of players from Lincoln Southeast High School, finished 4-1 in the tournament to place second.
