Quiet for a few days
After the freezing drizzle and light mixed precipitation that lingers into Thursday night, we’ll quiet down for a few days. Mostly to partly cloudy skies on Friday then more sunshine for the weekend. Temperatures will be at or above average during this time. Then our attention turns to early next week. Rain, rain snow mix, and snow will be possible for the first half of the week!
A Winter Weather Advisory continues through the evening hours for portions of Nebraska. Lingering freezing drizzle and snow showers will be possible, creating difficult driving conditions. The weather system responsible for this advisory will move out by the overnight hours.
For Friday, the storm system moves off to the east but some cloud cover will linger in parts of eastern Nebraska. A mix of clouds and sun will be around for the rest of the state.
Temperatures will be very close to average for the high on Friday. We might get a little warmer if the sun comes out a little earlier, but as it stands, the lower 40s should do it.
