LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Scott Frost and his wife Ashley announced on the Husker Sports Network on Thursday that they will be making up to a &125,000 donation to the TeamMates Mentoring program.

The organization was created by legendary Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne and it pairs adults in the community with students who would benefit from mentors. Sometimes, those students do not have two parents.

“We have a fatherlessness problem in the United States of America,” Frost said during his radio appearance. “We see it all the time in coaching, that kids who come good homes with good mothers and good fathers just seem to get along better more often than kids that don’t have that advantage. Teammates is doing a good job of bridging that gap.”

Scott and Ashley Frost have a “Donation Challenge” on the TeamMates website where they will match outside donations up to $125,000.
