Girls State Basketball: 1st Round

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The NSAA board voted on Thursday to keep the state boys and girls basketball tournaments in Lincoln in 2021. The board’s decision was unanmious.

Both events will now be five-days instead of three and will be held at Pinnacle Bank Arena and LPS schools.

This decision comes after some speculation that the tournaments would be moved away from the Capital City with Lincoln’s strict COVID-19 guidelines. Also, the Devaney Center is unavailable to host games with the Nebraska volleyball team currently in season.

The girls state tournament will likely be scheduled for March 2-6 while boys will be held March 9-13
