OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 2 Omaha South won a thriller over No. 1 Lincoln Southwest in a shootout, 3-2, to claim its second-straight Class A boys state soccer title.

The Packers took the lead in regulation on a Wawa Palga penalty kick before Eli Rhodes tied it on a free kick with under two minutes to play.

Neither team scored in the overtime periods, resulting in the shootout win by Omaha South.

It was the only loss for Lincoln Southwest this season.
