‘Takeout Tuesday’ initiative extended through April

Governor Pete Ricketts is encouraging  Nebraskans to support local restaurants during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Uber Eats announced Monday, March 16th they will be waiving the delivery fee when customers order from local restaurants.

Governor Pete Ricketts is encouraging  Nebraskans to support local restaurants during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

On Monday, Ricketts signed a proclamation designating every Tuesday from March 31 through the end of April 2020 as “Takeout Tuesday.”

Some restaurants have been forced to close their doors and lay off staff. Others have shifted their business model to takeout and delivery services only, in an effort to continue to stay open amid the spread of the virus. Others have offered curbside pickup.
