Temperatures climb through the week

Temperatures will start to warm over the coming days, even considering several cold fronts will pass through Nebraska.

Tuesday morning will start out on the cold side.  Clear skies overnight will send temperatures in to the teens.  A light wind will make it feel a little cooler.  Wind chill temperatures will be in the lower teens.

Expect to see partly cloudy skies Tuesday morning.  The clouds will be building ahead of a cold front that will pass during the late morning to around noon.  Winds will start out of the southwest and shift around to the north.  It will likely become breezy by afternoon with winds gusting to 30 mph (higher in central Nebraska).  Temperatures should manage to get 10° above Monday levels – highs in the middle to upper 40°s.

Each day this week should notice a slight increase in warmth.  Tuesday will have highs in the middle 40°s.  Wednesday climbs to the upper 40°s to near 50°.  Thursday and Friday should be able to make it to the 50°s.  What all of this means, the likelihood of a “White Christmas” – defined as 1″ of snow on the ground at 6 a.m. – is zero at this point.
