Thor becoming key cog in Nebrasketball’s offense

Nebraska basketball’s own “God of Thunder” is in the midst of quite the run in Big Ten play.

Thorir Thorbjarnarson, the Huskers’ junior guard out of Iceland, is averaging 13 points per contest through four Big Ten games. He’s shooting 47 percent from three during that stretch.

“I’m just feeling very confident out there right now,” Thor said following his 17-point performance in a win against Iowa on Tuesday.

Thor and Nebraska (7-8, 2-2 Big Ten) travel to Northwestern on Saturday. Tip-off set for 3:30 p.m. on BTN.
