LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — For the third time in less than two weeks, authorities responded to a threat at a Nebraska campus.

This latest scare happened at Alliance Middle School.

Officers immediately began investigating after they were made aware of the threat and determined that it wasn’t credible.

The Alliance Police Department says it takes these situations seriously and will always act swiftly to ensure the safety of students and staff.

APD also says it takes the cooperation of the entire community to protect schools and neighborhoods.

Anyone who comes across suspicious behavior is asked to share it with law enforcement.

Last week, Channel 8 reported on two other threats across the state.  They involved schools in St. Paul and Sidney.

A student was taken into custody in one of those cases.
