Three arrested for burglary in Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people for burglarizing a vacant home.

They had received information of ongoing burglaries at the house, and set up surveillance throughout the night.

Around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies saw a vehicle pull up to the home. They say individuals from the vehicle went inside the home, stole an antique Singer Sewing machine and then left.

Deputies pulled over the vehicle on Highway 136 and took three people into custody: Michael Keylon, Jennifer Camp and Michael Woolard. All three were charged with burglary and the stolen item was recovered.

Police are still investigating.
