Three teens tried stealing alcohol from Lincoln grocery store, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three teens were caught Monday after they broke into a Lincoln grocery store, police said.

Just after midnight, an alarm went off at the Fresh N Save Market near 27th Street and Capitol Parkway.

When officers arrived, they saw three people running out of the building.

A 17-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys were then taken into custody, police say.

After an investigation, officers found that the teens had used large rocks to shatter the front door.

While inside, the teens took seven bottles of alcohol, all of which were recovered, according to police.

The three teens were taken to the Youth Detention Center.  They were later released to their parents.
