Two Lincoln schools to require masks until end of semester
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – After a spike in COVID-19 cases at two Lincoln elementary schools, officials have decided to require masks until Wednesday.
Letters were sent out to parents of Eastridge and Zeman Elementary Schools notifying them of the change.
Masking will be required for all staff, students and visitors, according to the letters sent by Lincoln Public Schools.
The decision was made after both schools had high numbers of COVID-19 cases in their buildings.
School officials worked with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department to make the decision.
Masks have not been required in LPS since Feb. 18.
