Unsettled weather pattern through the middle of May

This is the time of year that we start to see more chances for showers and thunderstorms and sure enough, that’s exactly what we have in the forecast. It’s not going to rain all day or even every day, but the chance is there for someone in our viewing area to see storms each day through the middle of May.

Thursday

There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) for severe storms Thursday night. This will mainly be for areas from NE Nebraska to SW Nebraska. Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.

Above is what the radar may look like overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Any of those storms could produce marginally severe weather.

Tomorrow High Dma

Friday will end the work week on a slightly cooler note. While these temperatures are actually above average, it’ll be the coolest day of the next 10.

Friday

There is a Marginal Risk for severe storms Friday, as well. We’ll see storms move across the western half of the state that will have the potential for hail and damaging wind.
