WASHINGTON, D.C. (KLKN) – On October 25th, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill to award the Congressional Gold Medal to Marine Corporal Daegan Tyler Page from Red Oak, Iowa, according to a press release from Representative Cindy Axne.

The legislation will now move to the U.S. Senate.  If passed, it would award the Congressional honor to all thirteen U.S. servicemembers who were killed protecting civilians at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.
