VIDEO: Rain, shine, or snow UNL employees help gameday happen
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Husker’s final scheduled game is today, and in classic Nebraska fashion, Memorial Stadium was encased in fresh snow from an overnight storm.
But, have no fear, Nebraska Event Management is here. Employees and interns with the organization helped make GameDay happen by clearing over the 360 foot-long field of leftover slush.
IT’S .@huskers GAMEDAY!!
.@HuskersTurf is getting the field cleared. We had quite a bit of accumulation and it’s still coming down! pic.twitter.com/g7TS0HO5Df

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Sportsturf Managers handled the snowblower, clearing about half the field… until it broke down.
Nebraska Event Management posted on Twitter how they finished the rest. Saying they improvised, finishing the rest of the field “with a Gator and a blade. The other gators were used to take the snow elsewhere after scooping it into the back.”
A big thank you to @NebrEventMgmt for their efforts this morning. The snowblower broke down around the 50 yard line. A lot of hard work doing the rest. #GameDay #Huskers 🔴🌽🏈 pic.twitter.com/FtmUE6N7dw

Interns with Nebraska Event Management could be found at the entry points and parking lots with shovels in hand.
Events interns attacking the entry points and team drop off areas first! Most of the plows are on the inside of the stadium taking care of the field. pic.twitter.com/DTkmVS0FH2

After hours of clearing snow, the field is finally safe a Husker football game. Thank you to Nebraska Event Management for all your hard work!
When the snow blower breaks down… you improvise. The last 50+ yards finished with a Gator and a blade. The other gators were used to take the snow elsewhere after scooping it into the back.
