Wan’Dale Robinson supports JD Spielman while he takes leave of absence from Huskers

"We’re basically brothers, so if he felt like he needed to leave, I supported him."

Wan’Dale Robinson isn’t upset that teammate and fellow wide receiver JD Spielman has taken a leave of absence from Husker football. He’s worried for his friend.

“That’s my brother,” Robinson said last Monday. “We’re basically brothers, so if he felt like he needed to leave, I supported him.

“We don’t talk about football at this point. It’s all, ‘Are you all right? Are you doing all right?’ Just making sure he’s there as a person more than a football player is what I’m more worried about than anything else.”
