Warm and breezy, storms by Thursday
It’s going to be warm and breezy for the next few days. Thunderstorms are in the forecast by the 2nd half of the week.
For Tuesday, we’ll see highs in the middle and upper 80s to around 90 degrees. That’s a good 20 degrees above average! We’ll see plenty of sunshine with a southwest wind at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday will be a repeat of Tuesday, just a few degrees cooler. Still lots of sun and a breeze.
By Wednesday afternoon, a few storms will try to pop up in the western half of the state.
Because of this storm chance, there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms for the area shaded in green. This means one or two storms could have some 1″ hail or 60 mph wind gusts.
The storm chance moves east on Thursday and a few of those storms could be severe, as well.
It’s still too far out of have be deemed Marginal, Slight, or Enhanced, etc. But storms are “Possible”, which means it’s an area that will be watched going forward.
We cool off quite a bit on Friday into the weekend with highs dropping into the 60s. There’s a small chance for rain over the weekend into early next week.
