Warm and Windy

Severe

A Red Flag Warning is in place for much of the state of Nebraska for Monday. This means that it is going to be dry and windy so any fire that gets started will get out of control very rapidly.

We start the week off with a very warm day but with a lot of wind. The high on Monday will push into the middle and upper 70s but there will be a gusty southwest wind at 20 to 35 mph, gusting into the 40-50 mph range.

A cold front will sweep through Monday night and drop our overnight low temperatures into the lower 40s, then we struggle to get back into the 50s for Tuesday. We’ll see more cloud cover on Tuesday, but no precipitation is expected.

We see 50s for highs one more day on Wednesday, then back into the 60s on Thursday and 70s Friday and into next weekend. No precipitation is expected for the entire week.
