Warm couple of days, mix precipitation later this week
The next several days will be above average for our highs, but not all of the day. After Tuesday and Wednesday, we cool off for a couple of days.
Precipitation will be possible Thursday, then we have to wait until next week for the next chance.
The Northern Lights may be visible for some tonight! The further north you go, the better chance you have at seeing them, but if you’re in Nebraska, here is how to better your chances:
1. Get as far away from any and all light as you can. Several miles away from any city is ideal. The more miles the better.
2. Find a flat area without hills or trees that may impede your view.
3. Wait for complete dark to fall. The darker the better.
4. Look north! It’s hard to see in Nebraska, so if you don’t see it, don’t be disappointed!
Tuesday will be a little cooler that it was on Monday, but still a little above average. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, with more clouds in the morning.
The wind won’t be as much of an issue. Wind gusts will stay below 20 mph!
Overall, Tuesday will be a mild day with cooler temperatures to the north, warmer to the south.
Much of the morning hours will have a good chance at seeing cloud cover. There is a small chance that a few of us in northern and western Nebraska will see a few snowflakes.
