Warm weekend continues through Sunday
If you thought Saturday’s weather was nice, I’ve got even better news for Sunday! But first, more clouds will roll in this evening to blanket our skies and keep us milder to start. Winds will gradually shift to be out of the southeast with lows in the middle 30s Sunday morning.
To transport our warmer air in on Sunday, a stronger southern wind will be peaking near 30-35 mph at first and decrease throughout the afternoon. Northern winds on Saturday kept us a touch cooler, but wind winds like these to start Sunday, it’s no wonder we will be quite warmer to close the weekend!
Here’s the good news! Highs on Sunday are anticipated to be in the low to mid 60s by the afternoon as clouds start to break up and part ways. We’ll end up being over 10° warmer than we should be on this fifth day into March.
Now, shield your eyes if you are sick of colder temperatures. But the winter weather is not done with us yet. Next week, we will see temperatures fall off once again with another wave bringing us colder air and some precipitation chances in the form of a wintry mix and snow potential.
Looking at our Day 6 through Day 10 outlook, or next Friday through the middle of March, Nebraska has a good chance at being below average, being within the purple bullseye shown below.
The end of next week is when we start to see multiple waves bringing the chance for yet more winter.
