Warming for the last day of the work week

Southeast Nebraska is off to a warmer start Friday.  Instead of waking up to temperatures in the 40°s Thursday, temperatures are in the middle and upper 50°s.  This will help springboard us to a warmer day.

Ample sunshine will be with the area Friday morning and afternoon.  Later in the afternoon clouds will start to pop, turning skies partly cloudy.  High temperatures will be in the low 80°s.

Skies will remain partly cloudy Friday evening as temperatures drop from the 80°s to the 70°s.  Partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight will keep temperatures in the low 60°s Saturday morning.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible Saturday morning.  I’m bracketing the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the chance for rain.  After that, skies may begin to clear out for several hours Saturday afternoon.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible later Saturday night.
