WATCH: Man swipes keys that were left in Lincoln home’s front door, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are searching for the man who stole a house key that was left in the front door.

Police say the victim had forgotten his keys in the front door of his home near 33rd and C Streets on May 8.

Surveillance video captured the man walking onto the porch, looking around and then taking the keys.

Police are also looking for the thieves who nabbed a minibike from the Super C near 27th and Superior Streets.

Security video captured a silver Chrysler 300, which was driven by a woman, pulling into the parking lot on April 27.

After the vehicle parked, a man with a shaved got out, police say.

The woman then pulled around to the side of the building while the man picked up the bike and walked away.

Police think the bike was loaded into the car off-camera.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
