Zoom investigating nationwide technical problems

Some users reported being able to start meeting via the client, but being unable to log into Zoom via the browser.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Zoom says the issue has been resolved.

Zoom, the video-conferencing service that has become a household name during the COVID-19 pandemic, is investigating widespread technical issues.

The company said Monday morning: “We have received reports of users being unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars. We are currently investigating and will provide updates as we have them. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please follow status.zoom.us.”

Some users reported being able to start meeting via the client, but being unable to log into Zoom via the browser.

It wasn’t immediately clear what was causing the problem.

The company’s website said the issue began before 8 a.m. (CT).

Many school districts and college – including Lincoln Public Schools and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln – use the service for remote classes.

A UNL site that provides updates on the status of internet services noted the problem.
