Omaha police chief endorses Brett Lindstrom for Nebraska governor

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer endorsed gubernatorial candidate Brett Lindstrom on Wednesday.
“I’ve watched Brett over his 8 years as a State Senator and support him to be Nebraska’s next Governor,” Schmaderer said in a press release. “Brett’s well-reasoned approach to problem-solving and his steadfast support of law enforcement will serve him well as the leader of this state.”
Schmaderer has served as the Omaha police chief since 2012.
“I am honored to have Todd Schmaderer’s support,” Lindstrom said. “Under Schmaderer, Omaha has been a model for police departments across the country.”
Nebraska’s primary election will be held on May 10.
Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively announced early voting times on Tuesday.
