UNL students jog to promote awareness for pediatric brain cancer

A group of UNL students went on a jog to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.

The annual Jack Frost Jog was held on Sunday.

It aims to raise money for the Team Jack Foundation.

The jog took place on UNL’s East campus near 38th and Holdrege street.

The runners were from two University senior honor societies.

They say it’s a good opportunity to raise awareness for an important state issue.

“Nebraska is, unfortunately, the leading state when it comes to pediatric brain cancer, that’s why we chose this cause, because it is so close to the state of Nebraska and we want to help the kids out here,” said event organizer Nina Radulovic.

The three mile jog is a growing annual event.

Event organizers say they would love to have more people come out and join them in raising awareness next year.
