Girl Scouts of Nebraska join World Cleanup Day 2022

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Saturday is World Cleanup Day, and Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska will be participating in the effort.

There are currently 3,674 pledges from 28 states, Puerto Rico, Taiwan and Germany.

Girl Scouts of Nebraska is asking everyone to join forces on Saturday and pledge to pick up litter in a local public space, such as a lake, state park or neighborhood park.

This is the third year Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska has participated in this international cleanup event.

Last year, Nebraska troops collected 2,200 pledges from around the world and picked up 743 bags of litter.
