LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s $155 million athletic facility is getting closer to completion.

John Ingram, the associate athletic director for capital planning and construction, praised the facility in the video.
He said the project is a culmination of two years of planning and two years of construction.
“It reflects Nebraska,” he said. “We have a rich history, and so we’re very fortunate that we don’t really have to do much to really sell our history. That just speaks for itself.”
Ingram boasted that the facility would be “second to none in the country.”
The facility does not yet have an official opening date.
Interim football head coach Mickey Joseph spoke about the facility during a Thursday press conference.
“I think anytime you have a facility of that magnitude, I think that’s great for the university, is also great for the program,” he said.
Joseph also said it helps with recruiting because “kids want to see nice things.”
“I think it gives you a lot of energy, you know, heading forward and in the future.”
