Hot again Tuesday, more severe storm chances
The next several days have chances for storms, some of which may be strong to severe. We’ll be very July-like with the temperatures, too.
Monday night saw quite a bit of severe weather. There were several reports of 1″ to 2.5″ hail, 70+ mph wind gusts, and some damage due to that wind. We will quiet down overnight and for most of Tuesday, but the severe weather chance comes back Tuesday night.
It’s going to be hot and humid on Tuesday. The actual temperature will be close to 90 degrees for everybody, but with a dew point near 70, it’ll feel like the middle 90s.
Much, if not all, of Tuesday will be dry, but storms will roll in after sunset into the overnight and any of those storms may become severe.
Because of that, a very large Slight Risk for severe weather is in place for much of Nebraska. Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns, but if storms fire up in the right way, tornadoes will also be possible.
