American Job Center in Lincoln hosts first major career fair

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The American Job Center of Lancaster and Saunders Counties hosted its first major career fair Thursday.

It was held on the roof of the N Street parking garage, which is attached to the center.

Twenty-five businesses and organizations were there talking to job seekers.

Manager Ronesha Love said the turnout was better than expected.

All told, at least 40 people showed up.

The hope is that the success of this event will attract more employers for the next career fair.

“I hope that we continue to build the trust of the job seekers for them to want to come to our building, but also the employers,” Love said.

The next career fair is planned for Oct. 5.
