LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire & Rescue says lightning strikes across Lincoln on Saturday morning caused at least $5,500 in damage.
The home near South 90th Street and Turnberry Circle appears to have gotten the worst of it.
A hole that was left behind, along with leaking water, will cost $5,000 to repair.
It’ll cost $500 to fix up a home that was struck near Rockwood Lane and Birch Hollow Drive.
LFR says there’s a small hole in the ceiling and damage to tile, after a satellite dish got hit.
And officials still don’t have an estimate on the first of the three homes that was struck, near South 40th Street and Faulkner Drive.
The lightning left a hole at that location as well, which has since been tarped off.
This all began just before 9 a.m. as heavy rain was coming down across the city. None of the people needed to be relocated and no one was inured.
