LPS says everyone in Lincoln can help students have a successful first week
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Summer break is officially over and LPS students are returning to schools across the city this Monday.
The district is sharing tips on social media to help students and families have a successful first week.
For kids, it recommends getting involved in activities, asking for help when needed and establishing a routine right from the get-go.
Channel 8 will have more on planning efficient routines throughout the day both online and on-air.
For families, LPS recommends getting in the habit of checking backpacks each night.
This will help make sure you get important papers kids are bringing home. It gives you a chance to go over homework together as well.
Superintendent Paul Gausman also shared a message on social media where he said, “Hello LPS community, I look forward to welcoming you back to the 23-24 school year. The last week or so I’ve seen so much action throughout our community as people are getting ready for the LPS school year. I encourage all of you to be extra careful as you travel around town watching out for school buses, and those of you with family members in school to do all you can to have them ready to go for our first day of school.”
