Man accused of stalking woman on early morning run west of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is accused of stalking a woman who was on an early Friday morning run west of Lincoln.

Around 8:15 a.m., a 37-year-old woman was running near Southwest 56th Street and Denton Road.

Chief Lancaster County Deputy Ben Houchin said the woman noticed a black sedan following her.

She thought the driver, later identified as 49-year-old Son Prack, may have been lost and tried talking to him.

“He did not say anything to her and just kind of stared off in space, so she took off running again,” Houchin said.

The woman ran to a nearby house, and Prack drove off.

Eventually, she went to finish her run and saw Prack’s vehicle again.  The woman ran off into the woods and called 911, Houchin said.

When deputies arrived in the area, they found Prack in a black Toyota Camry that matched the description given by the woman.

“As they were talking to him, he admitted he was just trying to find Pioneers Park because he was low on gas,” Houchin said.

During the traffic stop, deputies saw something “underneath” Prack and told him to get out of the car, according to Houchin.

Prack then rolled up his window and drove off.  Deputies chased after Prack, and he stopped the car.

“It took a little bit of time for him to finally come out, and he was placed under arrest with no further incident,” Houchin said.

Prack was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including stalking and obstructing a peace officer.

No weapons were found inside the vehicle, Houchin said.
