Man accused of buying 70 Lincoln concert tickets with stolen credit card numbers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Omaha man bought over $15,000 in Lincoln concert tickets with stolen credit card information last year, court documents allege.
Pinnacle Bank Arena staff were notified that stolen credit card numbers were used to buy “numerous” concert tickets, according to an arrest affidavit.
All of the tickets were for Rod Wave’s show on Nov. 12, 2022. Staff voided the tickets and contacted the Lincoln Police Department.
On the night of the concert, 34-year-old Craig Brown and an unknown person arrived at the venue’s ticket counter.
Staff alerted officers that the duo had made the fraudulent ticket purchases, the affidavit alleges.
Officers collected a driver’s license and two credit cards from Brown. Authorities were unable to identify Brown’s accomplice before they left.
Shortly after, officers responded to an “unrelated disturbance,” and Brown left, the affidavit says.
During an investigation, officers learned that Brown had cloned a card from Iowa.
Brown and his accomplice used stolen credit card numbers to buy 70 concert tickets, totaling $15,089, according to the affidavit.
Investigators positively identified Brown in three of the purchases made at Pinnacle Bank Arena, court documents say.
An arrest warrant was issued on Aug. 25, and Brown was taken into custody on Wednesday.
