Changing weather over Thanksgiving weekend
We’ll have a very mild day to get everybody where they need to go on Wednesday, but a cooling trend is on the way after that. Precipitation chances increase as we get past Thanksgiving.
Some snow will be possible late Thursday into Friday for western Nebraska, then another snow potential pushes from west to east across southern Nebraska late Friday into Saturday. See below for the latest weather model run showing the snowfall timing.
Before the snow potential (above), we’ll have a couple of very quiet and mild days.
Wednesday will be just above average for a high after starting off in the middle 20s. That’s just a little below average. The wind will be less of an issue on Wednesday!
Middle and upper 50s should be around for most of us, but some 60s for the Tri-Cities will be possible, too!
It’s all downhill after Wednesday. Temperatures drop into the 40s for highs on Thanksgiving and into the 30s on Friday. Those 30s stick around into the weekend, too.
If you’re headed away from Nebraska for Thanksgiving, this is what the forecast highs look like for the US. I’d choose to go to Miami!
