Nebraska deputies arrest two men after finding 430 fentanyl pills during traffic stop
CENTRAL CITY, Neb. (KLKN) — Two men were arrested on Thanksgiving after Merrick County deputies found several drugs.
It happened during a traffic stop last week on U.S. Highway 30 in Central City. A deputy said they pulled over a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Gustavo Lova of Loveland, Colo. He was wanted on drug trafficking charges out of Colorado.
While the deputy was conducting the traffic stop, another vehicle, driven by 38-year-old Patrick Snyder, arrived near the scene and committed a traffic violation. Authorities later determined both Loya and Snyder were traveling together.
The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office said a K-9 officer was deployed and found more than 430 fentanyl pills, heroin, cocaine, meth and a loaded handgun between the two vehicles.
Both Loya and Snyder were booked in Merrick County jail on several charges.
