Slow clearing, slow warm up
The clouds and fog have made for very little movement in our temperatures lately. This will continue into the weekend.
However, the clearing of the fog begins Saturday and really takes hold Sunday. Our warm up will then commence!
The Dense Fog Advisory remains for much of Nebraska through at least Friday. It may stick around through Saturday.
Above is our StormCast weather model and it shows how very slowly the clouds erode from west to east. They just don’t want to go away!
Temperatures will only drop to around 30 for most areas. That’s well above average (14 degrees).
Highs, however, will be in the lower and middle 30s, which is close to normal.
The fog and clouds continue into the weekend. The sun should return on Sunday!
On the plus side, the area that had been in the “Extreme” and Exceptional” category for most of the last several months has improved.
It’s now in the “Severe” category for drought. Still not great, but it’s an improvement!
