Spring Wednesday and Thursday, winter by Friday
The spring feel to our afternoons will stick around for at least one more day. We might be able to squeeze in two more days, but things start to change on Thursday.
By Friday, colder air and a chance for some minor accumulating snow will have made its way across Nebraska.
For Valentine’s Day evening, it couldn’t be much better. Temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze.
High temperatures on Tuesday afternoon will be well above average. By almost 20 degrees!
Thursday will be the transition day with highs just a little above average. Snow starts to move in overnight
Overall, we’re not looking at a whole lot of snow. Most of it will fall in northern and eastern Nebraska with 1-2″ possible in Lincoln.
The chance for 1″ of snow is decent and the highest further north. Lincoln is at about a 50/50 chance.
The chance for 2″ of snow is a little lower for southern Nebraska, but still pretty high to the north.
4″ of snow seems unlikely for most of us, but the better chance will be along the NE/SD border.
There’s only a small chance for 6″ or more to the north. Most of us won’t see anything close to that.
