Lincoln man caught with gun, cocaine after calling 911 several times, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man called 911 several times Tuesday before being caught with a gun and cocaine, police say.

Around 7 p.m., officers talked to 37-year-old Kendall Barrow at the police station near 27th and Holdrege streets.

Barrow thought somebody was following him and wanted an officer to escort him home, according to police.

The officers told him they didn’t do that and gave him other options, police said.

Barrow kept calling 911 before eventually leaving the area.

Around 8:30 p.m., Barrow drove to the County-City Building, where he asked another officer to escort him home.

Barrow called 911 several more times before being arrested around 11:30 p.m., according to police.

He was found to have a .380-caliber handgun and 14 grams of cocaine, police said.

Barrow was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including obstructing government operations and tampering with physical evidence.
