LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — School starts in less than a week and, despite OPS’ recent announcement to go completely remote, LPS says they are on schedule for in person learning.

Currently, the City of Lincoln’s Covid-19 Risk Dial  is in the “orange” or “high risk” category.

For Lincoln Public Schools, this means students, staff, visitors, and other building users will be required to wear a face mask while in the building. Schools will provide masks to students and staff who needs one.

All Preschool through eighth grade students will have in person classes, but high schools have already been asked to move to half capacity to uphold social distancing. Accommodations will be made for students who are unable to attend in person classes to utilize synchronous online learning via Zoom and other remote learning tools.

Attendance will be taken for both in-person and remote learning.
